Scouting Lourdes
Second year head coach Summer Quesenberry is building quickly upon a tough 7-23 record in her first season as coach, already recording a 4-5, 1-3 WHAC record. Lourdes has been a great rebounding team in the early season, ranking ninth in the NAIA with 16.7 offensive rebounds per game. Senior Tatyana Reynolds has led the Gray Wolves since entering the starting lineup, averaging a team best 13.0 PPG. Junior Sydney Miller has been a huge lift for Lourdes behind the arc, shooting 35.1% from deep while averaging 12.1 PPG.

Scouting Madonna
Madonna has gone through a bit of a rough patch losing six of their last eight games to post a 5-6, 2-3 WHAC record. Former All-WHAC First Team player Becca Sabol has been the highlight for Madonna this season nearly averaging a double-double with 15.8 PPG and 9.2 RPG. The senior Sabol has already been awarded one WHAC Player of the Week award in the 2017-18 season, as she looks to help get the Crusaders back on track vs. Cornerstone. The senior guard duo of Lindsey Hernden (12.4) and Cris Harper (10.6) have each also averaged 10+ points per game for the Crusaders this season.

History vs. Weeks Opponents
Cornerstone has been dominant against Lourdes being the only remaining WHAC opponent that head coach Katie Mattera is undefeated against. CU is 12-0 all-time vs. the Gray Wolves and 10-0 under Mattera. Against Madonna, CU has struggled of late, losing four of their last six matchups. Mattera is 5-6 all-time vs. the Crusaders, but has struggled to win in Livonia, only recording two wins at the MU Activities Center.

Sheridan Nears Top 10
Jesse Sheridan continues to chip away at reaching the Golden Eagles top 10 scoring list, as she recorded 16 and 22 point outings this week to put her just 28 points away from being tied for 10th place. Sheridan would be the quickest ever to reach the list, as she is only a junior. On the season, Sheridan is averaging a career best and team high 19.5 points per game.

Beating NAIA Top 15
The Golden Eagles earned their first ever win over an NAIA top 15 opponent under head coach Katie Mattera with a 71-64 victory over No. 11 Indiana Tech. The last time Cornerstone defeated a top 15 team came in 2010-11 when they defeated No. 1 Northwestern College in a tournament at Davenport University under the direction of long term head coach Carla Fles.

Two Away From 100
Head coach Katie Mattera is now just two wins away from being the third coach in Golden Eagle Women's Basketball history to reach 100 career wins. Mattera is in her sixth season with a 98-69 (.587) career record. Mattera tallied back-to-back 22-10 records in 2013-14 and 2014-15 for her best record in a single season. Mattera also has led the Golden Eagles to one NAIA DII National Tournament appearance in 2013-14 when they lost in the first round to No. 11 Mayville State.

Udell Career High
Junior Mya Udell got her first start of the 2017 season in a huge upset victory over No. 11 Indiana Tech last Saturday and took advantage of it, recording a career high 11 rebounds. Udell tallied four points and an assist along with the 11 rebounds, serving as a key contribution in the upset. Udell has now started 19 total games in her three-year career at CU.

Rebounding Dominance
The Golden Eagles recorded a season high 50 rebounds on Saturday in the win over Indiana Tech. Cornerstone currently ranks 20th in the NAIA in defensive rebounds per game, averaging 29.7.
