Heather Marks and her team posted a win over fellow WHAC school Concordia on Tuesday afternoon at The Mines.
Claire Niergarth led the way for the Golden Eagles as they will open their regular tournament schedule in the middle of September in Ada at the Grace College Lancer Invite.
Claire Niergarth picked up where she left off her junior campaign as the captain posted the lowest score of the day of 93 in a dual match against Concordia. Cornerstone won the event with a team score of 407 while the Cardinals finished at 433.
Also scoring for Cornerstone on Tuesday were
Brooke Statema (104) and
Jesse Sheridan and
Katrina Goebel each shot a 105.
Cornerstone will return for their first regular season tourney on September 19-20 at the Lancer Invite, hosted by Grace College here in Michigan at Quail Ridge Golf Club.
