Women’s Soccer ties season high in 5-0 win vs. Rochester

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – In a rare occurrence where Rochester was only able to dress nine players due to injuries, the Golden Eagles took advantage tying a season high with five goals in a 5-0 win over the Warriors. Kylie Adams had the biggest night, becoming the first CU player of 2018 to record a multiple goal game with two in the evening. Cornerstone is now back to .500 overall at 5-5-0, as they also earned their first conference win to move to 1-3-0 in the WHAC. Action will continue for the Golden Eagles on Saturday as they host receiving votes UNOH at 2:30 p.m.

  • Phoebe LaCroix scored in the 12thminute on a cross from Meredith Haddad to give CU a 1-0 lead. 
  • Madison Radcliffe scored her first career goal in the 15thminute on a ball that was dropped by the Rochester keeper. 
  • Kylie Adams scored just 14 seconds later on a shot finished from a cross by Mya Copado
  • Cornerstone scored three goals in just three minutes. 
  • Kaylee Phillips recorded her second goal of the year later in the first half on another cross and assist by Mya Copado
  • Kylie Adams scored the lone goal of the second half on an assist from Kaylee Phillips to give CU the 5-0 lead.

  • Cornerstone recorded 33 shots, their most since the 2014 season when they recorded 46 vs. Grace Bible College.  
  • CU allowed a season low two shots both of which were on goal and saved. 
  • 25 different Golden Eagle players got minutes in tonight's match.

Cornerstone will remain at home for a tough match against receiving votes Northwestern Ohio on Saturday at 2:30 p.m.
