Women’s Soccer to face rival Aquinas in WHAC Tournament Quarterfinal

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Golden Eagles ended the regular season with a huge win at receiving votes Madonna to help them earn the seven seed entering post-season conference tournament play. As the seven seed, Cornerstone will be faced with the task of taking on the two seed Aquinas in the WHAC Tournament Quarterfinal on Wednesday at 5 p.m. Live video and stats are available for the match at cugoldeneagles.com.

  • Cornerstone earned their first win vs. an NAIA Top 25/RV opponent this season when they defeated Madonna on the road 1-0 to end the regular season. 
  • Mikayla Johnson was named WHAC Defensive Player of the Week after tying a career high 10 saves at Madonna. 
  • CU has five shutouts this season, three have come in the last four games. 
  • If Cornerstone wins at AQ, they will play the winner of Indiana Tech and Concordia.
