GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The men's tennis team returned to conference play on Saturday morning as they fell to NAIA No. 5 Northwestern Ohio by a final of 9-0. The loss drops Cornerstone to 2-5-1 overall and 0-2 in the WHAC as they will face Concordia and Lawrence Tech next week.
Doubles Highlights: The top court duo of
Austin Hendrick and
Sam Ottosen put up a solid fight before falling 8-3 while CU also fell on Court 2 (8-3) and Court 3 (8-1).
Singles Highlights:
Dan Ribbink came the closest of claiming a set against the Racers but UNOH posted straight set wins in all six matches for the 9-0 sweep.
What's Next? Cornerstone will head to Ann Arbor next week before hosting Lawrence Tech on Saturday.
