Women’s Soccer drops fourth straight in 2-1 loss at Indiana Tech

FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The Golden Eagles road struggles continued Saturday afternoon, falling 2-1 at Indiana Tech. CU has now dropped four straight to go below .500 overall at 4-5, 0-3 WHAC. Cornerstone will look to rebound and get their first conference win, as they will host Rochester College on Wednesday at 7 p.m.

  • Indiana Tech got on the board quickly, scoring in the 16thminute to take an early 1-0 lead. 
  • The Warriors held Cornerstone scoreless in the first half to maintain a 1-0 lead after 45 minutes. 
  • Indiana Tech scored early in the second half as well, on a Marina Steffke goal in the 48thminute. 
  • Alexys Riksen scored in the 83rdminute on an assist from Alyssa Dykstra to cut the deficit to 2-1. 
  • Despite seven shots on goal, CU was unable to complete the comeback falling 2-1.
