Aquinas offense overpowers Women's Basketball

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Golden Eagles hosted Aquinas on Wednesday evening in a rematch of the late-November 61-57 Saints victory. Aquinas came away with a commanding 73-39 victory. The loss sets Cornerstone back to 2-20 overall, 1-11 in the WHAC. The team will hit the road this weekend for a 1:00 p.m. game on Saturday at Lourdes.

What you need to know:
  • Shelby Nyboer scored the first five points for Cornerstone.
  • Aquinas scored 20 points in both the first and second quarters.
  • Broghan Gamble got the second half started with a three-pointer just ten seconds into the third quarter.
  • Aquinas had five different players with double digits.
  • All nine Aquinas players that saw action recorded at least one assist and one rebound.
