GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Cornerstone emerged victorious by a score of 1-0, in a hard-fought WHAC contest against Lourdes University. The Golden Eagles defense was rock solid all night, with goalkeeper
Mikayla Johnson making five saves to help lead CU to victory. CU moves to 10-4-0 on the season with a 4-3-0 record in the WHAC. Cornerstone will be back in action this Tuesday against U-of-M Dearborn at 6 pm.
The Highlights

Jozlyn VanTol picked up a through ball from
Anna Morgan, beat her defender and smashed a shot into the bottom right corner to give CU a 1-0 lead.
· Cornerstone controlled proceedings for much of the first half, but no further goals resulted. The Golden Eagles took a 1-0 lead into half.
· The second half was more of the same, with CU generating most of the chances. Any chances by Lourdes were snuffed out by a strong defense and multiple saves from
Mikayla Johnson.
· Lourdes pushed for a late equalizer, but Cornerstone held strong, coming away with a 1-0 victory.
