Strawser announces first two signings for 2020 season

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Women's Soccer head coach Randy Strawser has announced the first two signings for the 2020 season as West Michigan standouts Sierah Adams of Thornapple Kellogg and Amber Nicholson of Northpointe Christian will join the Cornerstone Women's Soccer program that finished the 2019 season with a 14-5 overall, 8-3 WHAC record. Stay tuned to cugoldeneagles.com for the release of more women's soccer signings for the 2020 season.

Sierah Adams – Midfield/Forward – Middleville, Mich.
Adams joins Cornerstone out of Thornapple-Kellogg high school, where she will play her fourth season on varsity this upcoming spring. Adams helped the Trojans to back-to-back conference and district championships in 2017 and 2018. As a junior in 2019, she earned all-district honors and was named to the academic all-state team for the third consecutive year. Adams also played for the Michigan Fire Juniors club soccer team.

Sierah is the daughter of Darrin and Beth Adams. She is also the sister of current Golden Eagle Kylie Adams, and was also high school teammates with Anna Morgan. Sierah plans to study Psychology at Cornerstone.

Why CU?
"I chose Cornerstone because I want to increase my faith and knowledge about God and CU's psychology program is really good. I also wanted to play soccer with my sister one last time." – Sierah Adams

Amber Nicholson – Midfield/Forward – Ada, Mich.
Nicholson comes to Cornerstone from nearby Northpointe Christian high school. As a junior a year ago, Nicholson earned first-team all-conference and all-district accolades. Her five-goal performance against West Michigan Aviation Academy last spring earned her an MLive athlete of the week nomination. Amber also played for the Midwest United club team.

Amber is the daughter of Mike and Judy Nicholson and plans to study Physical Therapy.

Why CU?
"I chose Cornerstone because I love that it is a Christian university. I also love the area where it is. The students here are very nice and the soccer players are very welcoming and encouraging." – Amber Nicholson
