ADRIAN, Mich. – Cornerstone entered the final game of the regular season already out of WHAC Tournament contention, but looked to end the season on a high note and unfortunately could not falling 78-57 at Siena Heights on Saturday afternoon. CU would battle for the final three quarters, but they could not overcome a 22-8 deficit after the first 10 minutes. CU ends the season with a record of 2-28, 1-19 WHAC as they will regroup and get set for the 2019-2020 season now.

It took CU 3:28 second to get on the board as the Saints would go on a 7-0 run to begin the game before Megan Bower scored a jumper to get the Golden Eagles in the scorebook.

SHU would end the period on a 12-2 run to lead 22-8 at the end of the first quarter.

A three by Rebekah Crosby with a minute to go in the half would cut the Golden Eagles deficit to 15 at the half.

CU would get to the free throw line a good amount in the third quarter, but could not stop Siena Heights on the defensive end as the Saints increased their lead to 21 at the end of the period.

Sterling DeGayner began the fourth quarter with a three, her only made three of the game.

Shelby Nyboer would end the game with a team high 13 points on 6-12 shooting, but CU would lose 78-57.

What's Next?
