Rejuvenated Women's Basketball to travel to Madonna

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – After an eight-day game break due to a postponement and a scheduled Saturday off, the Golden Eagles will return to action on Monday at Madonna. The game will be a rematch of Cornerstone's lone WHAC victory of the season, a seven-point win over the Crusaders on December 5 inside Mol Arena. The winter weather closed Cornerstone's campus four days last week. The postponement of the game against Madonna made for an eight-day break from games.

Second Half struggles
Cornerstone led 30-21 at halftime against UNOH last Saturday, but a 32-point third quarter ended up propelling the racers to a 69-49 victory. The loss was the second blown halftime lead of the year, as the Golden Eagles also surrendered a five point lead at UNOH in Mid-December, falling 76-70. Cornerstone is being outscored by an average of 8.6 points in third quarters.

Balanced Effort
A total of 13 different Golden Eagles found the points column, while 14 different players gathered at least one rebound against UNOH last Saturday.

Lone Victory
Madonna, who remains winless on the season, is the only victory on Cornerstone's WHAC resume. Cornerstone defeated Madonna 74-67 inside Mol Arena in early December.
