Cornerstone loses to UM-Dearborn 89-64 on Senior Night

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – After being in Livonia to play against the Madonna Crusaders on Monday, the Golden Eagles return back to Mol Arena to host UM-Dearborn for their senior night. After taking the lead a few times in the first quarter, UM-Dearborn would begin to take over holding the lead from for all but the first three minutes going on to win 89-64 . Cornerstone is now 2-25 overall, 1-16 WHAC. The Golden Eagles will be going on the road Saturday to Ann Arbor to face off against Concordia.

What you need to know:

  • All seniors were part of the starting lineup for tonight's game. Student assistant Sydney Dejonge played for the first time all season.

  • Taylor Richards scored the first two points of the game, helping the Golden Eagles hold a lead for the first 2:58 of the game..

  • CU would trail 53-29 at the half.

  • Senior Lexi Boven scored 14 of the teams 64 points, hitting four threes on her way to a career high.

  • Rebekah Crosby recorded 12 rebounds, one shy of a career high in the loss.
