GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Cornerstone's season ended when they lost 5-2 to Indiana Tech in the WHAC quarterfinals. The lady Golden Eagles won a match within doubles and another match within singles play. This was the final match of the 2019 spring season for CU.
Doubles Highlights– Cornerstone was able to walk away with a victory in the No. 3 doubles flight. Abbie Meeuwsem and
Lauren Brendel won the solo doubles victory 8-5. This doubles match win was the 10
thof the season for
Abbie Meeuwsen.
Singles Highlights–Within singles play, CU was able to defeat Indiana Tech in one of the six singles matches. No. 5 singles,
Amanda VerHulst, went ahead 6-0 in her singles match before her opponent was forced to retire the match because of an injury. This straight set victory was Amanda's 14
thsingles win of the season.
Cornerstone's season ended on Thursday, April 18
thin the WHAC quarterfinals.
