GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – After dropping two of the three doubles flights, the Golden Eagles came roaring back to win 7-2 and advance to the WHAC Semifinals for the first time since 2015. Cornerstone will take their 11-9 record and travel to the top seeded Northwestern Ohio Racers on Wednesday, April 24 at a location and time yet to be determined. 
Doubles Highlights - CU struggled in doubles play winning just one of the three flights. At no. 2 doubles 
Mateo Jimenez and 
Aliaksei Kanstantsinau won 8-5, while the no. 1 doubles team of 
John Cocoma and 
Tomas Yacuzio lost 8-5 to the Saints. The no. 3 doubles flight would go to a tie breaker and the Golden Eagles would fall 9-7 to be trailing in the match 2-1 headed into singles play. 
 
Singles Highlights– Cornerstone responded with a strong performance in singles, sweeping all six flights. 
John Cocoma trailed early, but would come back to win 7-6 (8-6), 6-2 at no. 1 singles. The rest of the Golden Eagles also saw straight set victories including a 6-0, 6-2 win by 
Dan Ribbink at no. 5 singles. CU went on to win the match 7-2 and will now advance to the WHAC Tournament Semifinals. 
 
Cornerstone will travel to the WHAC Regular Season Champion UNOH on Wednesday for semifinal action at a location and time yet to be determined.
