GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Cornerstone cross country continues to put up outstanding performances as sophomore

Nygia Pollard have been named the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) Runners of the Week. The two athletes competed in Louisville this past weekend at the Greater Louisville Classic and each etched their name in the history books with personal record performances.
The sophomore Pohl helped the Golden Eagles to a fourth-place team finish with time of 25:07 at the Greater Louisville Classic. He finished fifth individually and earned a PR by more than 20 seconds to move to ninth all-time in Golden Eagle program history.
The junior Pollard earned her second consecutive WHAC Runner of the Week with a 13
th place individual finish and time of 18:33. She led the Golden Eagles to a fifth place overall at the Greater Louisville Classic and has now moved up to 10
th all-time in Cornerstone program history.
The award is the first ever for Pohl and second ever for Pollard. Cornerstone will continue the fall season on Friday, October 9 at the Bethel Invite.
