Looking to Snap Losing Streak

The Golden Eagles come into their final game of the season on a nine-game losing streak. Cornerstone's last victory was 68-56 road triumph over Grace Christian. CU's only home win of the season came on October 24, which was a 74-56 success against Grace Christian, making the Tigers two of Cornerstone's three victories this season.

Career Night for Richards Against Lourdes

In her first career start, junior forward Allyson Richards made the most of her opportunity. Squaring off with Lourdes University, Richards put up 20 points and pulled down 11 rebounds in CU's 68-59 loss. The career night for Richards resulted in her first career double double. Averaging 5.7 points on the season, Richards has put together multiple strong games down the stretch for the Golden Eagles

Big Leap from Crosby

Coming into the season, sophomore Rebekah Crosby saw an opportunity to establish her position as a vital player on the Cornerstone squad. The 6' forward from Traverse City did just that this year. Second on the team in scoring with an average of 11 points a contest, Crosby stepped into a greater role this year. Strong rebounding was a staple of Crosby's game, as she led the team in rebounding with an average of 7.6 boards a game. Her six double doubles are tied for third most in the WHAC and are encouraging sign for further growth in the future.

Senior Game for Gamble

Senior guard Broghan Gamble will be playing her final game for the Golden Eagles this Saturday, in a matchup with Concordia University. Gamble has been a vital part of this CU team, starting every game this year and 59 of the 60 she has appeared in for Cornerstone. The 5'4" guard from Kalamazoo leads CU in three-point percentage, going 33.5% from downtown. We wish Broghan the best of luck in her future endeavors!

Scouting Concordia University

The Cardinals of Concordia come to Mol Arena jockeying for seeding in the WHAC tournament. Offensively, Concordia is led by a three-headed monster of Tris'styn Williams, Katie Snow, and J'may Simmons. Williams leads the team in scoring, averaging 14.2 points a contest. Snow brings a well-rounded game that boasts a triple-double this season and Simmons is an efficient scorer, shooting 41.5% from the floor. CU will have to slow these three down to pull off the upset.
