Last Week Recap

Cornerstone was unable to snap out of their losing skid this past week falling to #13 Indiana Tech and Madonna. With the losses, CU finds themselves at 3-22 on the season and 1-14 in the WHAC with five games to play in the regular season.

Last Wednesday, the Golden Eagles traveled to Fort Wayne, Indiana to take on #13 Indiana Tech. CU was unable to avenge their loss to the Warriors earlier in the season, as the offensive attack of IT was too much to handle.

Cornerstone hoped to rebound the following Saturday, as they looked to complete the season sweep against Madonna University. The Crusaders had other plans, shooting over 55% from three en route to an 89-72 victory. Rebekah Crosby had a strong offensive showing however, scoring 20 points and pulling down 16 rebounds.

Upcoming Alumni Game

This Saturday, the CU women's basketball team will be hosting their alumni game before Cornerstone's double header against Rochester University. Tip-off is set for 8:30 am!

Scouting UNOH

Sitting at 9th in the WHAC, the UNOH Racers are looking to claim their second victory over the Golden Eagles this season. The Racers are led by senior G/F Tori Lennartz, who leads the WHAC with an average of 17.4 points a contest.

In their previous meeting, Lennartz exploded for 29 points as she led UNOH to a 71-60 victory. Junior guard Tya Bell is second on the team in scoring, averagin 11.9 points a game. Bell excells from beyond the arc, where she shoots 42.4%.
Cornerstone will have to slow down the Racers dynamic duo if they hope to avenge their loss from earlier this season.

Scouting Rochester University

In what will be an intriguing rematch, the Warriors of Rochester University come to Mol Arena this Saturday. CU will be looking to avenge a 76-67 loss at the hands of the Warriors last month.

Slowing down the Rochester duo of Lexey Tobel and Devan Valko will be crucial for Cornerstone, as the pair dropped 44 points on CU in their previous matchup. The Warriors are great from the free throw stripe, which means the Golden Eagles will have to keep their hands clean if they want to pull out the victory.
