Women's Soccer opens spring portion of the season vs. Rochester

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - After a postponement in late February, Cornerstone women's soccer is finally back to returning to play as they will host Rochester University on Wednesday, March 10 at 6 p.m. over at Midwest United Fields. Cornerstone went 3-1-1 on the year in the fall and looks to conclude the WHAC schedule with four regular season games, two at home and two on the road. Tomorrow's games will provide live coverage with links below.

Cornerstone Outdoor COVID Spectator Policy
Cornerstone is allowing fans to outdoor events for both home and visitors, but will have limited bleacher seating and are requiring filling out a screening form upon arrival. CU also is asking all fans to wear masks and is encouraging bringing a chair with you due to limited seating. 

Fall Recap
Cornerstone went 3-1-1 in the fall and 3-1-1 in conference play, winning their first two games against Lourdes and Concordia before tying Lawrence Tech and falling to Indiana Tech to end the fall. CU scored seven goals this fall, highlighted by a pair from Erica Mick and the freshman Sierah Adams. Jozlyn VanTol leads the team in shots with 19 and has recorded one goal and one assist. 

Scouting Rochester
Rochester so far this season has gone 1-5, 0-4 WHAC winning their season opener vs. Great Lakes Christian back in the fall before dropping five straight. In the five losses the Warriors have been outscored 31-2 highlighted by a 10-0 loss to Concordia. Kirsten Schapman has been the offensive leader for RU with a goal and three assists this season. Defensively, three different Rochester players have seen time in net with Skylar Zaranek leading the way with 540 minutes.
