Women's Basketball Comeback Falls Just Short in Thriller at UM-Dearborn

DEARBORN, Mich. – Despite being down by 30 points midway through the third quarter, Cornerstone staged a big comeback before eventually falling to UM-Dearborn 70-68. The Golden Eagles had a strong second half, scoring 23 in the third and 22 in the fourth, but the Wolverines were just able to hold on to the win. Layna Steele, back from an ankle injury, led the Golden Eagles with 21 points in 21 minutes. Cornerstone was without leading scorer Mackenzie Stien, who is out with an injury. With that loss, CU moves to 3-13 overall, 1-7 in the WHAC.
