GRAND RAPIDS, Mich - The Golden Eagles had a great week last week going 2-0 to start WHAC play as they beat UM-Dearborn 79-52 and UNOH 77-68. In both games, Cornerstone got off to slow starts that saw themselves down after the first quarter but had strong second quarters that gave themselves the lead and never looked back. They will look to continue off their good start to WHAC play as they host Madonna and Lourdes.

Ainsworth Keep's it Going
Stephanie Ainsworth had another great week of basketball as she averaged 18 points and 8 rebounds between the two games last week as she tied her career with a 22-point performance over UNOH. She shot 73% from the field between the two games as she started her first game of the season against UNOH.
 
Pack the House
Pack the House is an event CU is starting through a partnership with Friendship Sports International (FSI) and International Disaster Emergency Service (IDES). This event is used to raise money to later have Cornerstone University pack 60,000 meals for those in need in Ukraine, while working to build community by packing the gym for one night. The goal is to raise funds through shirt sales ($10) that will help CU to the amount needed to back 60,000 meals for Ukraine. Each $10 will provide 25 meals to the grand total for the event.
 
History vs. Madonna
Cornerstone and Madonna have been even in the past years splitting wins against one-another. The Golden Eagles won their last matchup against Madonna and holds an all-time 42-30 record against them.
 
History vs. Lourdes
Cornerstone has had Lourdes number the past two years as they have won their last three matchups against the Gray Wolves. The Golden Eagles hold an all-time 16-5 record against them.
 
Scouting Madonna
The Crusaders have gotten off to a tough start to their season as they sit 1-4 (0-2 WHAC). Madonna has scored 60 or more points once this year as they are averaging just 49 points per game. They are a very young team as 10 of their 15 players are freshman as freshman Ti'Syn Callahan is leading the way averaging 11.0 points and 4.0 rebounds per game for Madonna.
 
Scouting Lourdes
The Gray Wolves have gotten off to a good start as they sit at 3-2 (1-1 WHAC) winning two of their last three. They have a high scoring offense as they score 67 points per game shooting around 40%. Lourdes is a young team that sees only one Senior play as they are all mostly Sophomores and Juniors. Junior Shae Pedroza leads the way for the Gray Wolves averaging 10.6 points and 3.8 rebounds per game
