New Hampshire native Sterling Mclaughlin joins Wrestling program

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Head Coach Chris Williamson and the Golden Eagles are excited to welcome Sterling Mclaughlin from Auburn, New Hampshire as the newest addition to the program at the 197-pound weight class. Sterling becomes the lone active varsity athlete to be at CU from the state of New Hampshire as he looks to continue his outstanding wrestling career with the second year Golden Eagle program. At Pinkerton Academy, where Sterling competed in high school, he finished with a career record of 149-24. He was a three-time State Champion, four-time New England Qualifier, and two-time New England Placer. 
 
Sterling is the son of Josh and Sable Mclaughlin and he plans to major in Education during his time at Cornerstone.
