Randy Strawser is excited to bring in nine new faces to help for the 2022 season, as

Ainsley Harris,
Katelyn Hildabrand,
Karsyn Hostetler,
Myra Hunt,
Kaitlynn Sal,
Kyah VanKoevering, and Tori Woodywyk. They will look to help energize the team who finished 5-8-2 last season that led to a ninth-place finish in the WHAC and missing the WHAC Tournament, marking the first time since 2002 finishing the season with 5 total wins.
Key Returners
The women bring back a young core that has shown that they are ready to take that next step. Led by Seniors
Skylar Scholten,
Hope Steenwyk, and
Jozlyn VanTol, who is returning after missing all last season due to injury. She is joined by the young core of
Elayna Cady,
Chloe Dood,
Hannah Luurtsema and
Arianna Rau.
Arianna Rau led the team in goals last season with seven, becoming the first freshman to lead the team in goals since 2012.
Hope Steenwyk is just 18 saves away from cracking the top 10 in the all-time saves list in Cornerstone women's soccer history.
Scouting Saint Xavier
Saint Xavier started the season on August 20 against Taylor University, falling 4-0 in the match. Peyton Fox for Saint Xavier was the only player to put a shot on goal for the duration of the match. Saint Xavier hosts Cornerstone for the first time since 2017, where Cornerstone won the match 3-1. Cornerstone is 6-0-1 all time against Saint Xavier.
