Leading Goal Scorers
Through four games, Cornerstone has a pair of players with multiple goals to lead the team. With injury at the forward position, two players have stepped up in a big way finding the net as Chloe Dood and Amber Nicholson lead the way with two goals each. Dood leads the team with 360 minutes played from her outside back position and has scored two, while Amber Nicholson has done it as a bench player who plays the forward position in just 161 total minutes played.

Steenwyk Shutouts
Senior starting keeper Hope Steenwyk has two individual shutouts already after the 2-0 win over Trinity International. Last season, Steenwyk had two shutouts as well, both as combined efforts with another keeper. Steenwyk has already surpassed her career total for shutouts with the two this season, playing every minute in net for the Golden Eagles so far in 2022.

Scouting Grace Christian
Cornerstone and Grace Christian have a storied history, playing every year since 2011, minus the COVID season in 2020. CU has dominated the NCCAA opponent from right down the road, going 9-0-1 all-time, outscoring them 44-4 in 10 meetings. In 2022, under Head Coach Mike Riemersma, the team has gone 1-4 winning their first game big at Trinity Washington University before falling in four straight. The team has struggled on defense, allowing nine goals in two of the four losses and seven in their most recent loss to Bluffton. The offense however has come alive in the last two games, scoring seven goals led by Jenniesue Pillieci who has six in four games played and three starts.

Scouting Bethel
A veteran Pilot program has gotten off to an outstanding start at 2-0-3 after going 5-14 a season ago. The offense has been outstanding in the early season for Bethel, averaging 2.4 goals per game in their five contests. The defense has been the issue however, allowing six goals including three in the season opener and two in their second game resulting in a pair of ties. Senior Audrey Lerch has been the leader offensively for the Pilots scoring nearly half the team's goals with five so far this year. Positive news for the Golden Eagles is Esther Karhayu, who dropped a hat trick to defeat Cornerstone in overtime just a season ago is no longer with the team. All-time, Cornerstone is 7-3-1 against the Pilots, but they have fallen in two of the last five meetings.
