INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – A battered and bruised Golden Eagle roster began a tough weekend at (7) Marian on Friday evening and to prepare for the upcoming WHAC Championships and NAIA National Tournament chose to go into the match forfeiting many matches and using multiple backups. CU saw five athletes wrestle as they forfeited five matches in a 45-9 loss at one of the best teams in the country, Marian. The second year Cornerstone program will travel to (5) Indiana Tech tomorrow as they continue to rest injured athletes. They then will travel to Hiram College for a Tri-Meet next weekend for their final matches before the WHAC Tournament on February 11.

Devan Johnson and
Thade Radosa highlighted action against two young Marian opponents, using some early offense to take big leads. Johnson would earn a tech fall in the third period and shutout his opponent, 17-0. Radosa recorded some early takedowns and a near fall to earn the major decision 17-4.
The rest of the young Golden Eagles struggled against the strong and deep Marian roster.
Cooper Mansfield would be the only athlete to face a ranked opponent in (12) Noah Hollendonner at 174lbs. CU would fall 45-9 in five matches wrestled.
