GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Cornerstone Men's golf wrapped up a very tough tournament at Egypt Valley finishing in third in a loaded field of competition. The Golden Eagles had a rough first round to start the tournament shooting a 310 with
Isaiah Lowe leading the way with a 75 (+3). Cornerstone would respond shooting 10 strokes better with a 300 in the second round of the day where
Landon Wanless led the way shooting a 71 (-1). To wrap up competition, Cornerstone shot their best round of the tournament with a 293 where
Landon Wanless once again led the way with a 66 (-6). Taylor University came from behind to win the tournament over taking Lawrence Tech.
In the final round,
Landon Wanless tied a men's golf program record shooting a 66, six under par round that was held by current Cornerstone AD Aaron Sagraves. Cornerstone will look to build off their momentum as they travel to Tennessee for the Bojangles Intercollegiate on October 21 and 22.
