ANN ARBOR, Mich. – Women's Soccer came into the last game of the regular season needing a victory to make the WHAC Tournament. They would eventually fall 3-0 to Concordia and drop out of the WHAC Tournament. The Golden Eagles had multiple opportunities to score but could not find the back of the net in the loss. It was a rough end to the season for women's soccer as they lost six straight games to finish with an overall record of 6-8-2 (2-7-2). This is the end of the season for women's soccer. Game Recap: Concordia – 3 Cornerstone - 0
First Half
- Gracie Gortmaker had an early opportunity in the first minute of the game but her shot went wide right.
- Concordia would answer right away as their first shot of the game results in a goal. The Cardinals lead 1-0 after three minutes.
- Gracie Gortmaker had multiple opportunities to score as her shot in the 7th and 11th minute were saved by the Concordia goalie.
- Tori Woodwyk had an opportunity in the 17th minute, but her shot was saved by the goalkeeper.
- Arianna Rau and Tori Woodwyk had an opportunity in the 27th and 28th minute but both of their shots were saved as the keeper for the Cardinals has not allowed anything.
- Concordia had multiple corner kicks late in the first half that resulted in a header that was saved by Morgan Scholten.
- Concordia leads Cornerstone 1-0, but Cornerstone has outshot Concordia 12-6
Second Half
- The first opportunity of the second half resulted in a goal for the Cardinals as they have extended their lead 2-0 in the 51st minute.
- Cornerstone had back-to-back corner kicks in the 55th minute that resulted in another save by the Cardinals off a header from Kaitlynn Sal.
- Hailey Stowe had a header opportunity in the 62nd minute but nothing can get past the Concordia keeper as she recorded another save.
- The Golden Eagles keeper Morgan Scholten had back-to-back saves in the 73rd minute to keep it a 2-0 match.
- Myra Hunt had two opportunities in the 80th minute but her back-to-back shot attempts were saved by the keeper.
- Kailey Dodge put a shot on goal but a career day from the Cardinal keeper stops the shot attempt in the 87th minute.
- Concordia iced the game away scoring in the 89th minute to make it a 3-0 lead that would eventually be the final score as women's soccer's season comes to an end.
