GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - Junior Devan Johnson has earned the Wolverine-Hooiser Athletic Conference (WHAC) Wrestler of the Week for the first time in his career after an undefeated week of wrestling. Johnson opened up his week with a tech fall dual victory over his Henry Ford opponent. He would then go undefeated, winning by tech fall or fall in all four matches played and finish in first-place for his 133 weight class division at the Albion Invite.
Johnson is the first Golden Eagle men's wrestler to receive the WHAC Wrestler of the Week award for the 2023-24 season. Wrestling will be back in action in the Blithe Memorial duals on December 1 and 2 right here at Cornerstone University.
