GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Golden Eagles finished last week going 2-1 on their conference road trip with their only loss coming against #RV Aquinas. They would go on to beat Goshen and Bethel over the weekend to go 2-1 for the week.
Patrick Voloch hit 1500 assists in the week as he continues to add to his milestones at Cornerstone. This week doesn't get any easier for Cornerstone as they have four games for the week. They start off the week traveling to NCAA DII Quincy University on Monday, March 6. They will then travel to Missouri Baptist University on Tuesday, March 7 before returning home for a weekend matchup against Indiana Tech on Friday, March 10 and Lourdes on Saturday, March 11.

Patrick Voloch Milestone
In the first set against Aquinas,
Patrick Voloch reached 1500 assists as he continues to add onto his milestones as a Golden Eagle. Voloch capped off the week totaling 107 assists for the week as he inches closer to 2000 after each passing week.
WHAC Outlook
Cornerstone is currently sitting in fifth in the WHAC with a 7-5 record against WHAC opponents. Cornerstone will face off against the two top teams this week in Lourdes who is 10-1 in the conference as well as Indiana Tech who is also 10-1 and tied with Lourdes. This is an important week for the Golden Eagles as they could shake up the conference with victories over the two top teams.
This Weeks Opponents
Quincy University is currently 5-11 on the year as the NCAA DII opponent has struggled in their conference as they are 0-7. Quincy is led Raje Alleyne who has 204 kills on the season and is set by Jonas Holzinger who has 422 assists on the season.
Cornerstone will then travel to Missouri Valley to end their spring break trip against the 12-6 Spartans. Missouri Valley has won their last three games all via the sweep as they will continue to keep that trend against the Golden Eagles. They are led by Miljan Kastratovic who has a team high 191 kills who is set by David Rudic who has a team high 339 assists.
The Golden Eagles will then return home against #15 Indiana Tech as the Warriors have seven of their last eight games. Indiana Tech is currently tied for first in the WHAC as they are 11-7 (10-1) on the season. The Warriors are led by Daynte Stewart who has a team high 159 kills as they tend to share the wealth as multiple players have over 80+ kills for the season.
Cornerstone will then end their week against #10 Lourdes as they are also sitting atop of the WHAC with a 13-4 (10-1) record. The Gray Wolves are currently riding a seven-game win streak winning the last four via a straight set sweep. Lourdes is led by Eduardo Ayala who has a team high 233 kills with Jaber Badarne right behind him with 188.
The Golden Eagles will look to have a successful week against a good group of teams during their spring break.
