MOBILE, Ala. – In the first ever appearance in the National Tournament for women's tennis, the shorthanded team went down swinging as they lost to (13) Lindsey Wilson 4-0 in the opening round.
Sarah Daza and
Ximena Matamoros highlight the only victory on the day for the Golden Eagles, winning the first ever doubles match in program history 6-1. "It was a great experience for our girls and the perfect opportunity to put Cornerstone on the map", said head coach
Elijah Yi on the opportunity to play in the National Tournament. This concludes the season for the Golden Eagles as they will look to build off this opportunity into next season.
