2023 Outlook
Cornerstone women's soccer is young and eager to kick off the 2023 season as they will look to build off their early season success from last year. CU returns their lead scorer in Senior Amber Nicholson and key defensive players in Chloe Dood and Hailey Stowe but lost key senior starters from last season in Skylar Scholten, Hope Steenwyk, and Jozlyn VanTol. Sophomores Shelten Cruces and Tori Woodwyk will look to build off their freshman seasons as the Golden Eagles also return Seniors Sierah Adams, Kailey Dodge, and Mackenzie Kramer looking to start the season on a high note.

2022 Recap
It was a strong start to the 2022 season for the Golden Eagles, winning three of the first five games sitting at 3-1-1 before the start of the conference season. Cornerstone struggled in the tough WHAC conference and finished the season with an overall record of 5-10-3 before losing in the first round of the conference tournament to Aquinas. CU will look to try and replicate that first half success on Saturday, August 26 as they host Goshen.

Looking forward to Goshen
Goshen comes into the matchup against the Golden Eagles with a 1-0 record, with a victory over WHAC opponent Cleary University last Saturday, August 19 by a score of 4-0. It was a tough season last year for the Maple Leafs as they finished the year at 5-12-1, losing in the first round of their conference tournament to Marian. Goshen returns lead scorers Seja Lang and Anita Tavares as Lang is off to a good start scoring in their first game of the year. The Golden Eagles will look to contain the Maple Leaf's on Saturday, August 26 as they look to start their season off with a victory.
