Last Week Recap
It was an upset day for the Golden Eagles as they took down #RV Taylor 1-0. A second half goal by Tori Woodwyk was the difference maker in a game that felt very lopsided on the time of possession towards the Trojans. Yet, the defense of Cornerstone wouldn't break as Morgan Scholten had 11 saves to preserve her second straight shutout victory.

Defensive Player of the Week
Thanks to her great work in goal, freshman Morgan Scholten was named the WHAC Defensive Player of the Week for her performance in the 1-0 victory over #RV Taylor. She recorded a career high 11 saves with nine of those coming in the first half. Scholten now has back-to-back shutouts to help Cornerstone to a 2-1 record.

Looking Forward to Bethel
Bethel will be no easy task for the Golden Eagles as they are 4-1-1 on the season coming off a tie against a very good opponent in Vanguard. Bethel has three wins against WHAC opponents this year, with those victories coming against Cleary, Concordia, and Lourdes. The Pilots are averaging almost three goals a game which will give the defense of the Golden Eagles a lot of work to keep them off the board. Bethel is led by Senior Audrey Lerch and Sophomore Leena Thomas who have five goals apiece, making them have 10 of the teams 16 goals this season.
