GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – It's finally a two-game week for the women's soccer team as they host both Kalamazoo and Lourdes. Cornerstone will start WHAC play at the end of the week against Lourdes with their final nonconference matchup coming against Kalamazoo on Tuesday, September 19 starting at 7 p.m. The Golden Eagles have continued to play well to start their season as they came off their best win of the season over Bethel 4-3 to move to 3-1.

The Golden Eagles beat their third straight Crossroads League opponent with a 4-3 come from behind victory over Bethe. The Golden Eagles scored four second half goals led by
Gracie Gortmaker's two goals followed by a goal from
Tori Woodwyk and a game winning goal from
Kaitlynn Sal to move to 3-1 on the year.
Looking Forward to Kalamazoo
Kalamazoo comes into the matchup against the Golden Eagles at 2-2-2 coming off a tough loss against North Central. One of their victories on the year came against WHAC opponent Concordia by a score of 2-0. Sophomore Elle Bernas leads the way for Kalamazoo with three goals followed by Holly Bowling with two.
Looking Forward to Lourdes
The first WHAC matchup of the year comes against Lourdes who comes into the matchup against Cornerstone at 3-2 with a game against Goshen on Wednesday. Lourdes lost to Bethel 2-0, the team that Cornerstone just beat 4-3 but everything changes when conference starts. Freshman Taylir Lynam leads the way for the Gray Wolves with three goals through five games on the season. Look for it to be a close fought match this Saturday, September 23.
