GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Women's Basketball is back in action with a slate of home games. Cornerstone opens the week against Madonna on Wednesday, January 24 and then finishes the week against #23 Indiana Tech. The Golden Eagles will be celebrating the career of senior
Maddison Fulks on Saturday for all that she has done at Cornerstone. Women's Basketball sits at 9-8 (7-5) on the season as they look to keep their undefeated record at home intact.

Last Week Recap
Cornerstone had a rough week going 0-2 in their two road games. All of women's basketballs loses this year have come on the road as they struggle away from the Mol Arena. Lawrence Tech got the best of women's basketball in their first matchup of the season, beating Cornerstone 75-67 thanks to a strong second half. The Golden Eagles traveled to UNOH later and the week and could not contain the offense of Alysia Lawson who had 30 points to even the season series between the two teams in a 86-74 loss. Women's Basketball still sits in fourth place in the conference with a 7-5 record.

On Wednesday, January 24 against Madonna, Flo's Pizza will be bringing in three different kinds of pizzas for FREE. Students will then vote on the best pizza between the Signature, Vegetale, and Mac n' Cheese pizza. The winner of the pizza will be showcased in the concession stand the rest of the year and students/staff can get 20% that pizza at Flo's the rest of the season. Madonna comes into the matchup against the Golden Eagles with an overall record of 9-9 (5-7) on the season. Cornerstone got the best of Madonna in the first matchup of the season winning 80-65 behind
Stephanie Ainsworth's 24 points and
Maddison Fulks 17 points on four made threes. Madonna has struggled recently, losing three of their last four games to drop their conference record to 5-7. The Crusaders are led by Aaliyah McQueen who is averaging 17.1 points on 41% shooting from the field.
Scouting #23 Indiana Tech
#23 Indiana Tech comes into the matchup against the Golden Eagles with an overall record of 15-3, riding a six-game winning streak before they take on Cleary to open the week. The Warriors got the best of Cornerstone in their first matchup of the year winning 73-45 as the Golden Eagles struggled to get anything going. Indiana Tech continues to be a strong team, averaging 69.2 points per-game while shooting 44% from the field as a team. The Warriors are led Erika Foy who is averaging 18.4 points and 8.1 rebounds per-game.
