Last Week Recap
The Golden Eagles had two matches last week and finished the week 0-1-1. Cornerstone started their week off on the road and took on Siena Heights. The Golden Eagles outshot the Saints in this matchup but could not capitalize on their chances and ended up down 3-0 at the final whistle. Cornerstone then took on the undefeated #4 Aquinas in a highly anticipated rivalry matchup. The Golden Eagles pulled off a massive upset and earned a 0-0 draw thanks to a stellar defensive effort from the back line as well as six crucial saves from Morgan Scholten. Cornerstone ended the Saints 13 game win streak and will look to build off this performance as they near postseason play.

WHAC Outlook
Cornerstone currently sits in sixth place in the WHAC conference with a total of 17 points on the year. Both Madonna and Indiana Tech sit just behind the Golden Eagles with 14 points apiece and keeps them within striking distance going into their last matches of the year. The Golden Eagles matchup this week plays a big role in determining the standings for the WHAC tournament but if the ladies can find any result other than a loss, they will be set up well heading into the postseason. The WHAC standings will be finalized after all matches have concluded on Wednesday, October 30.

Scouting Madonna
Madonna comes into the matchup against the Golden Eagles with an overall record of 6-8-3 (4-5-2) on the year, sitting in seventh place in the conference. The Crusaders are averaging 1.65 goals per-game while allowing 2.12 goals per-game. Vitoria Sia leads the line for the Crusaders who has tallied 6 goals on the season. The Golden Eagles will look to capitalize on this all-important conference matchup in their last regular season match of the year.
