Last Week Recap
Women's Basketball was devastated after they finished last week with a 0-1 record. The Golden Eagles took on the Grace Lancers where the game went to double overtime to decide a winner. Grace ended up sneaking past Cornerstone late with a 102-100 victory. The Golden Eagles would not go down without a fight as Stephanie Ainsworth was able to force overtime with a buzzer beater bank shot at the end of regulation. Cornerstone's defense also put together another big stop later to force the second overtime period but ultimately fell just short. Jaxi Long led the way in points for the Golden Eagles with 24 as Olivia Kubik and Mackenzie Goodwin were not far behind as they posted 20 and 19 in the contest as well. Laura Innerebner had a career game as she recorded 14 points, 15 rebounds, and 5 blocks in the game. Women's Basketball currently sits with a 1-5 record as they head into their slate of games this week.
