Women's Cross Country wins their fourth consecutive Championship to highlight the WHAC Championship

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The men's and women's cross country team competed in the WHAC Championship as both teams looked for a shot at the title and a team berth to the NAIA National Championship. The men finished in second behind two top 10 finishes of Chase Holwerda at 25:36.42 to finish eighth with Jamin Thompson finishing behind him 10th with a time of 25:41.43.
 
For the fourth year in a row, women's cross country has won the WHAC Title thanks to four girls finishing in the top 10 with Kori Baumann finishing in first at 22:05.74 and Emma Moore right behind her at 22:11.96 for a dynamic one-two punch.
 
With their finishes tonight, the Golden Eagles saw numerous WHAC winners. Jason Schalk won Coach of the Year, Kori Baumann won Runner of the Year, and Emma Moore won Newcomer of the Year to highlight the awards.

What's Next?
The men's team will wait to see if they made it to the NAIA National Tournament while the women start to prepare for the Championship that starts on November 22 down in Missouri.
