Last Week Recap
It was a successful week for women's basketball as they went 2-0 in both their conference games. The Golden Eagles opened the week with a 79-53 victory over Michigan-Dearborn that saw Jaxi Long lead the way with a game high 20 points. They would then return home to face off against Defiance and came away with another big win 84-49 thanks to Jaxi Long again and her 31 points. The wins extend Women's Basketballs conference win streak to four to open conference.
 
WHAC Update
Through the first five games for most WHAC teams, this is where the standings lay; UNOH, Indiana Tech, and Cornerstone are at the top of the leaderboard with an undefeated start to conference. Aquinas is in fourth with a 4-1 record with Lourdes, Siena Heights, Concordia, and Cleary all having two losses to round out the 5-8 seeds. Rochester Christian has one win with Lawrence Tech, Defiance, and Michigan-Dearborn at the bottom with zero wins.
 
Scouting Cleary
Cleary comes into the matchup with the Golden Eagles with an overall record of 3-7 (2-2) with a matchup against Grace College before Cornerstone. In their last conference game, the Cougars are coming off an impressive win against Concordia 64-57 behind Taedom Stein's 14 points. It has been a good start in conference for Cleary as they look to upset the Golden Eagles one more time inside the Mol Arena like they did last year in a 78-77 overtime victory. Cleary is led by Samantha Hoelscher and her 14.7 points per-game.
