Cornerstone will open the week facing off against Aquinas on Wednesday, February 21 and then close out the week facing off against Rochester on Saturday, February 24. With two games left, the Golden Eagles currently sit at a 13-12 (11-9) record tied for the fourth spot in the conference.

Last Week Recap
The Golden Eagles played in their final two home regular season games of the year and went 1-1 with a victory over Lawrence Tech and a tough loss to Cleary in overtime. Cleary made 14 threes on 63% shooting on their way to an overtime win over Cornerstone, a tough loss this late in the season. Yet, women's basketball bounced back with a much-needed victory over Lawrence Tech to remain tied for fourth in the conference with Rochester.
Stephanie Ainsworth led the way for the week averaging 19 points and 12 rebounds.
WHAC Standings
Two games remain in the regular season and a lot can happen leading up to the WHAC Tournament. Cornerstone is currently tied for fourth with Rochester, who they play their final regular season game against. Aquinas and Lawrence Tech are tied in the 6
th spot with a 9-11 record, two games behind the fourth-place teams. For a for sure spot at hosting the first round of conference, the Golden Eagles will need to win on the road against Aquinas and Rochester.
Scouting Aquinas
Aquinas comes into the matchup against the Golden Eagles with an overall record of 12-14 (9-11), riding a four-game win streak. It has been an impressive stretch for the Saints and at the right time as during their win streak, they are averaging 81.7 points per-game while holding opponents to 64.7 points. They sit two-game behind the Golden Eagles in the WHAC standings. Yet, Cornerstone got the best of them in their first meeting of the year, winning 85-70 behind
Stephanie Ainsworth's 20 points. Aquinas is led by Alona Blackwell who is averaging 25.8 points on 45.6% shooting.
Scouting Rochester
Rochester comes into the matchup against the Golden Eagles with an overall record of 14-12 (11-9), facing off against Lourdes to open their week. The Warriors are right there with Cornerstone, tied for fourth in the WHAC standings and their game to close out the regular season may determine who gets home court in the first round of the tournament. Cornerstone did beat the Warriors in their first matchup of the season, battling it out to a 68-60 victory thanks to a strong second half from the Golden Eagles. Rochester has been playing good basketball of late, just losing to Indiana Tech and Siena Heights out of their last eight games. The Warriors are led by Celeste Mershimer who is averaging 16.5 points on 42.9% shooting.
