MELBOURNE, Fla. - A fast start to Monday's play helped Cornerstone post another split on Day 2 of the Space Coast Games in Florida. CU picked up a 5-1 win over Roosevelt before falling to Keiser in the nightcap 7-1. The 1-1 day puts the Golden Eagles at 4-4 on the year as they will face Trinity Christian and Saint Thomas on Tuesday beginning at 4:45pm.
 
Game One Highlights – Cornerstone 5, Roosevelt 1
	- After a scoreless first inning, Cornerstone got on the board with a pair of runs in the bottom of the second as a Dylan Holmes single brought home Anna Griffioen and Mackenzie Nagelhout
- The Lakers cut the margin in half with a run in the top of the third but CU got it right back
- Back to back singles to lead off the third, followed by a bases clearing triple from Jolie Groeneveld put the Golden Eagles up 4-1
- Cornerstone would add to its lead in the bottom of the 5th inning after Moriah Sprague reached on an error and she was brought home on a Sam Timmer RBI single
- Alyssa Braam came on in relief of Allie Lubben as the two combined for four strikeouts while only allowing four hits and one earned run
 
Game Two Highlights – Keiser 7, Cornerstone 1
	- Keiser jumped on CU with a big second inning as the Seahawks plated six runs on five hits with the help of one CU error
- KU added one more unearned run in the bottom of the third
- Cornerstone got on the scoreboard with a nifty double steal, scoring Mackenzie Nagelhout
- Pitching and defense then took over for the remainder of the game as neither team was able to score any more runs

What's Next?
Cornerstone will be back in action on Tuesday with two more games against Trinity Christian (Ill.) and Saint Thomas (Fla.). The first game is slated for a 4:45pm start with game two at 7:00pm.
