AUGUSTA, Mich. – Men's Golf competed in their final tournament of the 2023-24 season at Stoatin Brae in the WHAC Championship. After the first round of the tournament, Cornerstone found themselves just seven strokes back from the first-place team after shooting a 303.
Luke Theeuwes shot a first-round best 73 (+2). The wind kept howling on day one of the tournament as Cornerstone would shoot five strokes worse, 308 to sit in third place after the first day. On the final day of the championship, the Golden Eagles had nothing to lose and came out with their best round of the tournament, shooting a team score of 291 behind
Landon Wanless's 71 (E). Cornerstone finished in third in the championship with Lawrence Tech winning the WHAC Tournament yet again, winning by five strokes over UNOH and 10 over Cornerstone.
This was Cornerstone's best finish in the Championship since 2011 and the first time in the top five since the 2013-14 season. This concludes the historic 2023-24 season for men's golf where they broke five different records. For all things men's golf, stay up to date at cugoldeneagles.com!
