Sam Tracey her first career win. Women's Soccer closes out their week with a contest against Saint Francis (Ind.) on Friday, August 30 at the CU Soccer Field.

Women's Soccer opened their season on the road against Goshen and came away with a 2-1 victory. The scoring started early for the Golden Eagles as a strike from
Gracie Gortmaker in the 4
th minute gave Cornerstone a 1-0 advantage. It wasn't until the second half where the Golden Eagles added another tally thanks to a Goshen own goal off the pass of
Gracie Gortmaker. The Maple Leafs scored late in the contest, but it wasn't enough as the Golden Eagles won. Cornerstone will be back in action with two matches this week, one against Grace Christian and Saint Francis on the campus of Cornerstone University.
Scouting Grace Christian
Grace Christian comes into the contest against the Golden Eagles with an overall record of 0-2 to start the season. The Tigers have been shut out in both of those contests. This is the first matchup between Cornerstone and Grace Christian since the 2022 season where the Golden Eagles won 6-0. Cornerstone sports an overall 10-0-1 record against the Tigers.
Scouting Saint Francis
Saint Thomas comes into the matchup against the Golden Eagles with an overall record of 3-0 to start the season, two of those wins coming against WHAC teams Defiance and Michigan Dearborn. The Cougars have scored early and often in their three contests as they are averaging 2.6 goals per-game while only allowing just one goal on the year. Jaylin Carroll leads the Cougars with three goals scored while Grace Morris and Courtney Tobin have two apiece. Saint Francis has also split the goalies as both players are around 135 minutes total on the year with both having just four saves.
