Last Week Recap
The Golden Eagles finished off the regular season with a home and road matchup last week. CU started off the week with a 2-0 win at home over Michigan-Dearborn with goals from
Ally Merrihew and
Gracie Gortmaker. Cornerstone then traveled to Livonia, Mich. where they closed out the regular season with a 2-0 win against Madonna.
Gracie Gortmaker added another goal in that match with
Karsyn Hostetler scoring the winning goal.
Scouting Aquinas
Aquinas finished the season with a 9-5-1 (8-2-1) record and landed the three seed in the WHAC tournament. The Saints ended the regular season on a three-game win streak and will look to carry that momentum into the tournament. Aquinas averages 4.35 goals per game and only give up 0.45 goals per game. The Golden Eagles will have to watch out for Maeva Lichtensteiger and Sydney Shenk as they lead the Saints with 17 goals each.
