Last Week Recap
The Golden Eagles started this past week with a game against Siena Heights as we celebrated the annual pack the house event. This highly anticipated game was back and forth down the stretch, but the Golden Eagles ultimately fell 74-71. Gracie Gortmaker finished the game with 15 points and 10 rebounds in the comeback effort. 
 
In the second game of the week the ladies made their way over to Sylvania, Ohio for a matchup with Lourdes. Julie Ashbaugh scored 22 points alongside Jaxi Long's 15-point performance, but both of their efforts resulted in an 80-64 loss to the Gray Wolves. The Golden Eagles now sit at 2-4 (0-2 WHAC) in their early season. 
 
Scouting Defiance
The Yellow Jackets enter the matchup with the Golden Eagles with a 3-4 (0-2 WHAC) record on the season. Defiance College was unable to keep up with Rochester Christian and Siena Heights in their first two WHAC matchups of the year. The Golden Eagles and the Yellow Jackets share the same conference record as this game will set the tone for which team can get their season back on track.
