Last Week Recap
Women's Basketball kicked off their season last week at the Cougar Classic coming away with a 1-1 record to start the year. In the first game the ladies found their rhythm as
Jaxi Long recorded 23 points which boosted her to over 1,000 career points as a Golden Eagle.
Julie Ashbaugh was also dominant in the matchup against Goshen scoring 26 points and hauling in 11 rebounds. The second matchup was not so favorable for Cornerstone as they fell 91-45 to #8 Saint Francis.
Scouting Indiana Wesleyan
Indiana Wesleyan enters the matchup with the Golden Eagles ranked #10 in the NAIA and sitting with a 2-2 record to start the year. The Wildcats have already faced two of the top three ranked teams in the country in #3 Campbellsville (Ky.) and #2 Bethel (Tenn.) both coming away with double digit losses. Despite both these losses the Wildcats still average over 70 points per game and will need to be slowed down if the Golden Eagles have a chance to knock off a solid Indiana Wesleyan squad.
