Four regular season games remain as Women's Basketball prepares for two conference matchups

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Women's Basketball is back in action this week as they are riding a four-game win streak into the second to last week of the regular season. The Golden Eagles face off against Lawrence Tech at home on Wednesday, February 12 before hitting the road to take on Cleary on Saturday, February 15. With four games remaining in the regular season, women's basketball sits with an overall record of 12-12 (11-5) on the year.

The Golden Eagles had the rare one game week as they took on Defiance this past Saturday. They came away with as sweat free 71-33 victory behind Julie Ashbaugh's 15 points and eight rebounds. Olivia Kubik chipped in 14 and Mackenzie Goodwin chipped in 10 as every Golden Eagle saw game action.

Scouting Lawrence Tech
Lawrence Tech comes into the matchup against the Golden Eagles with an overall record of 4-20 (2-14) on the year. It has been a tough season for the Blue Devils as they have struggled all year with their two conference wins coming against Defiance and Michigan-Dearborn earlier in January. Cleary gave Cornerstone everything they had in their first matchup, but the Golden Eagles snuck away with a 72-71 victory behind Jaxi Long's 21 points. Cleary is averaging 64.1 points per-game on 39.5% shooting. They are allowing 70.7 points per-game as opponents are shooting 42.5% against them.
