GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Women's Basketball improved to 14-12 (13-5) on the year as they head into another battle with Aquinas on Wednesday, February 19 to start the week. The Golden Eagles will then hit the road to take on #RV Indiana Tech to close our regular season play on Saturday, February 22.

WHAC Outlook
Women's Basketball heads into their week of games sitting in third place and tied with Siena Heights both with 13-5 WHAC records. This year there will be 10 teams that make the WHAC Tournament starting with a playoff from the 7-10 seed teams. Cornerstone controls their destiny to host their first postseason matchup as they can win to hang onto a top four finish.
Last Week Recap
Women's Basketball finished last week 2-0 once again as they tallied their sixth consecutive win in a row. In the first matchup the Golden Eagles took on Lawrence Tech where they ran away with a 74-53 victory.
Jaxi Long led the way with 20 points for Cornerstone.
Mackenzie Goodwin highlighted the win as she tallied her 1,000
th point of her career as a Golden Eagle with 18 points against the Blue Devils.
In the second matchup of the week the Golden Eagles traveled to Cleary where they dominated from the start winning 89-41.
Olivia Kubik led the way with 19 points with
Stephanie Ainsworth right behind her with 13 points and 7 rebounds.
Abby Hall also capped off the performance with 12 points all coming in the fourth quarter.
Scouting Aquinas
Aquinas comes into the matchup against the Golden Eagles with an overall record of 20-7 (17-2) on the season. The Saints have already met the Golden Eagles once this season at home where they won in a narrow 78-76 contest. Aquinas enters the game on a 12-game win streak as the Cornerstone has tallied a six-game streak of their own. This matchup has monumental implications as both teams search for the best postseason positions in their final two games.
Scouting Indiana Tech
Indiana Tech comes into the matchup against the Golden Eagles with an overall record of 22-4 (17-1) on the season. The Golden Eagles handed the Warriors their sole loss of the season in WHAC play this season with a 63-62 win. Indiana Tech will be extra motivated to seek revenge in this matchup as they also look to lock up a first-place finish in the WHAC conference.
