Men’s Volleyball continues conference play this week against Bethel and Siena Heights

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – Men's Volleyball improved to 11-1 (4-1 WHAC) on the year as they head into two more WHAC matchups this week first traveling against Bethel on Tuesday, February 25. The Golden Eagles will then close out their week with home court advantage against Siena Heights on Friday, February 28.

Last Week Recap
Men's Volleyball cruised to a 3-0 week with multiple victories over #RV teams. The Golden Eagles took down #RV Lourdes to begin the week as they won 3-1 and dropped their only set of the week. Cornerstone then closed in on two more victories over Mount Vernon Nazarene and #RV Indiana Tech in dominant sweeps. Ernest Broaster led the Golden Eagles this week with a total of 43 kills while Patrick Voloch provided 96 assists as well. Ethan Walker also highlighted the week with 17 blocks for the #6 ranked team in the country. 
 
Scouting Bethel
Bethel comes into the matchup against the Golden Eagles with an overall record of 7-5 (4-2) on the season. The Pilots saw both of their conference losses come last week against Indiana Tech and Lourdes which were two teams that fell to Cornerstone already this season. Bethel is averaging 11.14 kills per set as well as 2.42 blocks per set as they will need to bring their best to compete with #6 Cornerstone to start the week. 
 
Scouting Siena Heights
Siena Heights comes into the matchup against the Golden Eagles with an overall record of 5-6 (2-3) on the year. The Saints have won three of their last six matches and will have a meeting with Lourdes before battling Cornerstone this week. Siena Heights is averaging 9.98 kills per set along with 2.16 service aces per set. The Saints will need to bring their best to get their season back on track against a rolling Golden Eagle squad.
