Last Week Recap
Men's Volleyball had a busy week last week as they played in four away matches. The Golden Eagles opened their season with a 3-0 sweep of Calvin to get the rust off for the 2025 season. They would then travel to Kentucky to take on the reigning champions in #4 Georgetown and came away with a 3-1 victory behind 37 total kills from Ernest Broaster, Andrew Galanes, and David Galanes. Men's Volleyball would keep their Kentucky trip going as they took on #12 Reinhardt and swept them quick and easy behind Ernest Broaster's 15 kills and .571 hitting percentage. They would then wrap up that day with another sweep, this time on #14 Campbellsville as Ernest Broaster, David Galanes, and Andrew Galanes all led the way once again. It was the perfect 4-0 start for the Golden Eagles.

In their perfect week, Ernest Broaster earned WHAC Attacker of the Week, Kyi Jagorin earned WHAC Defender of the Week, and Patrick Voloch earned WHAC Setter of the Week thanks to their big performances.

Team Effort
It couldn't have been a more perfect start for men's volleyball as they opened their season with four road wins, three against top 15 opponents. There wasn't one player that stood out all week as multiple stepped up and performed well in the victories. Ernest Broaster, Andrew Galanes, and David Galanes are all in the 40s for kills on the year, making Patrick Voloch look good as he is dishing out passes all over the court as he has 136 on the year. Kyi Jagorin has been a solid back line defender as he has 41 digs on the year as Joshua Beaumont and Hubert Sliwinski have helped the front-line defense with their blocks.

The Golden Eagles currently rank first in the NAIA through four games with 18.5 points per-set. Third in kills per set at 13.38. Third in hitting percentage at .362. Third in aces per set at 2.77. Men's Volleyball will be a force to reckon with throughout the 2025 season.
