GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) has announced the men's volleyball awards for the 2025 season and six Golden Eagles earned an award.
Ernest Broaster,
Andrew Galanes,
David Galanes, and
Patrick Voloch highlighted the awards with all First Team Honors.
Joshua Beaumont and
Kyi Jagorin both earned Second Team Honors to round out the 2025 awards.
Josiah Reif was named the WHAC Champion of Character Recipient.
Ernest Broaster – First Team All-Conference
Senior
Ernest Broaster has earned his second straight WHAC First Team All-Conference honor after leading the Golden Eagles in kills with 340 for 3.62 kills per-set while hitting .318. He also leads the Golden Eagles in total points at 448 in part to his team leading 78 service aces while also recording 126 digs. Broaster has been a consistent spot for the Golden Eagles all year.
Andrew Galanes – First Team All-Conference
Junior
Andrew Galanes has earned his first, First Team All-Conference honor after posting 203 kills for 2.45 kills per-set while hitting .346. On the year, Andrew has totaled 249.5 points. He is third on the team in total blocks at 68 while also recording 75 digs.
David Galanes – First Team All-Conference
Grad-Student
David Galanes has earned his second First Team All-Conference honor after being a staple in the offense of men's volleyball after posting a team second best 252 kills while hitting .285. David has been an all-around player for the Golden Eagles, totaling 305.5 points thanks in part to 26 service aces and 48 total blocks. He also has 98 digs on the year.
Patrick Voloch – First Team All-Conference
Senior
Patrick Voloch has earned his third straight First Team All-Conference honor after leading the Golden Eagles in assists with 997 on the year, good for 10.17 per-set. Patrick was also second on the team in service aces with 40 as well as digs with 163 on the year as he did a little of everything all year.
Joshua Beaumont – Second Team All-Conference
Senior
Joshua Beaumont has earned his second straight Second Team All-Conference honor after collecting 123 kills on the year while hitting .338. Beaumont is leading the Golden Eagle defense with 87 total blocks, proving to be the difference at the net all year.
Kyi Jagorin – Second Team All-Conference
Senior
Kyi Jagorin has earned his second, Second Team All-Conference honor after leading the defense with 222 digs on the year, good for 2.39 digs per-set. Kyi has also collected 18 service aces on the year as he led the backline of the defense all season.
Josiah Reif – Champion of Character
The WHAC Champions of Character award is given to one player from each team and is selected by each coaching staff.
Josiah Reif was selected as Cornerstone's representative to the WHAC Champions of Character team by the CU staff for best representing the five NAIA core character traits of respect, responsibility, integrity, sportsmanship, and servant leadership.
WHAC All-Academic
Men's Volleyball saw eight athletes earn WHAC All-Academic honors for the 2025 season. This award is given to any athlete who has been on the roster for a year or more as well as a sophomore and above in academic class standing with a GPA of 3.25 or higher. The winners are

Kyle Kuebler,
Brunno Peres,
Elijah Pleune,
Hubert Sliwinski, and
Patrick Voloch.
Men's Volleyball will take on Lourdes in the WHAC Semifinal round tomorrow afternoon, Thursday, April 17 at 5 p.m. over at Lawrence Tech in Don Ridler Fieldhouse.
