Daza highlights Women's Tennis Spring Awards

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) has announced the women's tennis awards for the 2024-25 season and Sarah Daza highlighted the awards for the Golden Eagles. For the third straight season, Sarah Daza earned WHAC First Team All-Conference honors as she led Cornerstone all year.
 
Sarah Daza – First Team All-Conference Singles & WHAC Champion of Character
Senior Sarah Daza earned her third consecutive First Team All-Conference honors for singles as she led the Golden Eagles with a 6-3 record and 4-1 record in conference play. Daza has continued to be the leader for the women's tennis program ever since she got here and continued to improve each year. She adds one more All-Conference honor to her incredible Golden Eagle Career.
 
Sarah was also nominated as the Champion of Character she was selected as Cornerstone's representative to the WHAC Champions of Character team by the CU staff for best representing the five NAIA core character traits of respect, responsibility, integrity, sportsmanship, and servant leadership.
 
All-Academic Team
Women's Tennis saw four athletes earn WHAC All-Academic honors for the 2024-25 season. This award is given to any athlete who has been on the roster for a year or more as well as a sophomore and above in academic class standing with a GPA of 3.25 or higher. The winners are Heidi Brandt, Renata Castillo, Sarah Daza, and Daniela Fernandez.
